The high-efficiency and energy-saving infrared technology was promoted nationwide by the Ministry of Energy as a key application back in the 1970s. Our company took the lead in developing and elaborately applying infrared technology to heating and thermal insulation of vessels including reactors, distillation kettles, enamel kettles, polymerization kettles and drying equipment & pipelines in 1987. The products have been widely adopted by large and medium-sized domestic and overseas enterprises such as Nanjing Chemical Plant, Tianjin Beacon Coatings Co., Ltd., Xuzhou Pesticide Factory, BASF Dyes, ICI Polyurethanes, CTCI Overseas Corporation, Jilin Chemical Group, Baling Petrochemical Corporation, Dalian Dye Additives Factory and National University of Defense Technology, winning consistent favorable comments from customers.
The far-infrared electric heating device features large heating area, stable and rapid temperature rise, uniform heat release and convenient temperature control with separate upper, middle and lower section regulation. The temperature of the kettle wall can be easily controlled, bringing no side effects to materials inside the vessel and avoiding material carbonization. It operates without noise or pollution, with a long service life (over 30,000 hours) and remarkable energy saving (over 28%). The heater temperature can be freely set from ambient temperature up to 800℃. To meet customer demands, our company has upgraded the heating equipment to fulfill explosion-proof requirements, which has been certified by the National Inspection Center for Quality of Explosion-proof Electrical Products. It thoroughly solves the long-concerned explosion-proof issue that cannot be addressed by other heating methods.
With growing global awareness of environmental protection, the far-infrared electric heating device resolves severe ecological pollution caused by traditional heating modes. Therefore, it is praised as a "green heating device" by domestic industry professionals.

| Comparison Table of Energy-saving Performance between Thermal Oil Heating and Far-infrared Heating for Reactors | ||||
| ——Based on application data of a 3800L water capacity reactor | ||||
| No. | Heating Method | Thermal Oil Electric Heating Tube Heating | Far-infrared Heating | Remarks |
| Category | ||||
| 1 | Design Power | 168KW | 120KW | |
| 2 | Power Distribution | 8 groups of electric heating tubes | Three-section heating: upper, middle and lower | |
| 3 | Thermal Response Time | It takes 1.5 hours and 250 kWh to heat 1 ton of thermal oil in jacket to 280℃ | The outer wall of reactor reaches 400℃ after 30 minutes of power-on, consuming 42 kWh | |
| 4 | Actual Operating Power | Full load at 160KW | Only middle and lower groups (84KW) meet process requirements | |
| 5 | Power Consumption per Batch | 1764 kWh per batch | 814 kWh per batch | 53% power saved |
| 6 | Safety Standard | Not explosion-proof | The whole heating device meets explosion-proof requirements with relevant explosion-proof certificates | |
| 7 | Environmental & Hygiene Performance | Diphenyl mixture added in thermal oil; toxic oil vapor leakage at high temperature is harmful to human | No pollution or noise; no carbonization or coking of materials; no extra insulation required after installation | |
| 8 | Applicable Reaction Temperature | For reaction temperature below 300℃ | Heating available up to 700℃ with freely adjustable temperature | |
| 9 | Routine Wear & Tear | Thermal oil tends to carbonize; oil and heating tubes need replacement at least once per year | No extra cost within 3 years; easy installation and maintenance | Cost saving of 10,000 CNY per year |
| 10 | Heat Transfer Principle | Heat the jacket oil, then transfer heat to materials inside reactor via oil | Heat generated by resistance heating element is evenly radiated to materials via silicon carbide far-infrared emitter | |
| Conclusion: Comparison of the two heating methods shows that far-infrared radiation heating achieves remarkable 53% energy saving compared with thermal oil heating, saving 950 kWh per batch. It cuts annual costs for 1 ton of thermal oil replacement, electric heating tube renewal and production downtime losses. With fast and stable temperature rise, far-infrared heating increases output and product quality, and improves labor intensity and working environment. Moreover, the far-infrared heating device boasts rational structural design, attractive appearance, convenient installation and operation, easy temperature control (separate upper/middle/lower regulation), explosion-proof safety and other advantages. | ||||
