The fermenters designed by our factory are of standard type. For this tank type, those with a nominal volume below 6 m³ adopt jacketed structure. Cooling or heating of fermentation gas is completed by the jacket. For nominal volumes above 6 m³, cooling of fermentation gas is undertaken by vertical tube bundles. Improvements have been made to the connection of tube bundles inside the tank, which mainly avoids additional openings on the tank body and prevents dead corners. This connection method has achieved satisfactory results in practical application. Fermentation equipment can be divided into two major categories: one is conical type for anaerobic fermentation (e.g. alcohol fermentation); the other is aerobic fermentation tank type (such as standard type, Waldhof type, self-priming type, etc.). Among such equipment, the standard type is the most widely used. The series drawings and documents of fermenters designed by our factory belong to the standard tank type. When designing fermentation equipment of various specifications, we ensure compact structural design, sufficient strength and service life. We strive for fewer internal attachments and smooth inner surfaces of the equipment. Attention is paid to favorable gas-liquid contact and gas-solid mixing performance to enable efficient mass transfer and gas exchange. Sufficient heat exchange area is provided to ensure fermentation proceeds at a proper temperature. Great importance is attached to the sealing performance of the equipment to guarantee sterilization operations.
