The PSD type disc dryer features heating on both shell and internal rotor, which greatly expands the drying area, improves thermal efficiency and ensures thorough material drying. The dryer consists of a horizontal shell and a heated rotor fitted with multiple heating discs. Angle-adjustable pushers are mounted on discs, which can heat materials and convey them toward the discharge end during operation. A steam distribution device inside the rotating shaft evenly distributes steam to every heating disc. Steam flows inside discs to maintain constant temperature, and condensate water is discharged through a special shaft-end device. This equipment delivers high drying efficiency, long service life and low maintenance frequency. It is widely used for drying high-moisture and high-viscosity materials such as municipal sludge, industrial sludge, animal protein, plant protein, food, chemicals and pesticides. Material of construction can be carbon steel, 304, 316L, 2205 and others according to different material properties.
