Fermentor

The fermenters designed by our factory adopt standard tank type. For nominal volume below 6 m³, the tank is equipped with jacket. Cooling or heating of fermentation gas is completed by the jacket. For nominal volume above 6 m³, cooling of fermentation gas is undertaken by vertical tube bundles. Improvements have been made on the connection of tube bundles inside the tank, which mainly avoids multiple openings on the tank body and prevents dead zones. This connection mode has achieved satisfactory results in practical application. Fermentation tanks can be divided into two categories: one is conical type for anaerobic fermentation (such as alcohol fermentation); the other is tank type for aerobic fermentation (such as standard type, Waldhof type, self-priming type, etc.). Among these equipment, the standard tank type is the most widely used. The series drawings of fermenters designed by our factory belong to standard tank type. When designing fermentation equipment of various specifications, compact structure, sufficient strength and service life are guaranteed. Efforts are made to minimize internal accessories and keep smooth surface of equipment. Good gas-liquid contact and mixing performance are ensured for efficient mass transfer and gas exchange. Sufficient heat exchange area is provided to maintain fermentation at the optimal temperature. Attention is paid to the sealing performance of equipment to support sterilization operation.
